Giorgio Achille Fortunato Valentini was born in Fano, the city where he attended the art school, goldsmith section, and then went on to specialize in animated drawing at the Urbino Art Institute.
With the cartoonist diploma and the stubbornness of twenty years he presented himself at Bruno Bozzetto Film, where he was hired after having presented Bozzetto and Maurizio Nichetti a short film made with a borrowed 8 mm. camera.
After just one year he became part of the staff – working with the most important Italian cartoonists – and took part in the making of the film “Allegro non troppo”, which soon became a cult film worldwide.
In the film Giorgio realizes the dinosaurs that march in sync with the symphony of Ravel’s Bolero, the cat of Sibelius’ sad waltz and the faun of the Prelude to the afternoon of a faun by Debussy.

After the experience in Bozzetto film, Giorgio arrives at La Lanterna Magica – the studio author of the film La Gabbianella e il gatto – as Animation Director of Enzo D’Alò’s films.
In the meantime he makes short animated films that allow him to win prizes in some important national and international festivals and teaches for several years at the Milan film school.

Later Giorgio founded together with Silvio Pautasso – Bozzetto’s and D’Alò collaborator – the production house Motusfilm with which, for ten years, he made TV series for children.
Having concluded this experience, he decides to return to his origins, returning to Fano, and to his old love for painting.
In his house in the hills, surrounded by nature, he creates with his unmistakable technique the portraits of the people who capture his attention. Some of them have become part of the catalog “Contemporary dreamers – portraits in 973 days”.
